Online casino players with a love of online blackjack have something in common with a Hollywood star. Chris Mintz-Plasse, who starred in Superbad and Kick-Ass, has revealed that he really likes playing blackjack.
According to the actor, he plans to spend his 21st birthday in a casino – legally, for the first time – playing the game. He also told Las Vegas Weekly that he’ll try and make it to the card table as soon as it strikes midnight on Saturday June 19th 2010. He said:
“I’m going to get a little drunk first and then gamble away all my money. I will probably stick with blackjack. I play blackjack because it’s so easy. I’m not much of a poker player.”
Despite claiming that blackjack is easy, Mintz-Plasse was coy about his chances in a game of online poker. The star admitted that the card game did not seem to be for him. He revealed to the publication that he has a terrible tell (an unwitting sign to other players, telling them how good his cards are). More specifically, he said that he is loud and obnoxious throughout games, but suspiciously quiet when he has a good hand.
He added that, unlike the McLovin character he played in Superbad, he has never felt the need to purchase a fake ID in order to get into over-21 establishments. Mintz-Plasse said that he much prefers the quiet life, adding that a fake ID would be pointless anyway as “I look like I’m 12″.
